Nepal > Non Touristic Area > Rolwaling Trek

Rolwaling is more sparsely inhabited thus the natural surroundings have been relatively undisturbed. Traverse upstream alongside the raging Tama Koshi through lush tropical forest and quaint lower hill villages of Brahmin and Chettri. Once you reach the Sherpa village of Simigoan perched high up on the mountainside the trek completely transforms. Enter alpine forests and rocky inhospitable terrain and to the old monastery in Bedding. Passing the final remnants of village dwellings, yak pastures and enormous Glacier Lake , begin the ascent of the rigorous Trakarding Glacier and assault on Tashi Lapcha (5755m), which affords spectacular views of the Rowaling Range and the glacier valley below. Towards the top of the pass you can easily look into both side of the Rolwaling and Khumbu valley. Finally, descend into the lush valleys of the Khumbu region to complete this extreme adventure.
