OVERVIEW

Baruntse Expedition 7129m (26 Days)

Baruntse is the loveliest mountain among the more than 7000 meter located in the heart of Khumbu Himal region in Nepal. It seems between Mt. Everest the highest mountain of the world and fifth highest mountain Mt. Makalu. Mt. Baruntse is quite isolated and away from standard trekking route so climbers may experience a sense out of human traffic in such short time period. This snow crest mountain has four edges and four summits. It is limited on the east by the Barun Glacier streaming north south from Cho, toward the northwest by the ImjaTse icy mass and the Hunku ice sheet shapes the southeast limit. The main two trekking ways either Lukla via Hunku glacier, Mera-La pass or KTM-Tumlingtar flight then trekking to Makalu and west Barun glacier. Spring season is the best for successful summit even though Baruntse is climbable in autumn too.

Mt. Baruntse can be a rehearsal climb before any other 8000m peaks even Mt. Everest expedition. 7000m peaks requires more accumulate your body in higher elevation than climbing peak over 6000m.
