OVERVIEW

Mt Everest Base Camp has been a popular destination for trekkers since the very first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1950s. To reach this part of the Himalayas within a limited time, we have devised this two-week trek to Everest Base Camp which runs directly to and from Lukla. The trek follows the Dudh Kosi valley and climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche. From Namche, we trek along a high traversing path where we have our first good views of Everest and then head towards Thyangboche Monastery, in its amazing ridge-top location. We descend to the Imja Khola and continue to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche before finally approaching the Khumbu Glacier. We then follow the glacier, first to Lobuche and then to Gorak Shep. We have an opportunity to ascend Kala Pattar for even more spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, including Everest’s southwest face. We then visit Everest Base Camp at the foot of the Khumbu icefall before making our way back down to Lukla.

The highlight of the Trekking

Magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Pumori, Khumbutse, exploring Khumjung village, Namche village, majority of Sherpa people and monasteries in Tyangboche.

A scenic flight to Lukla’s Tenzing-Hillary Airport is an awe-inspiring journey through the heart of the Himalayas. As the aircraft takes off from Kathmandu, the majestic peaks of the Everest region gradually come into view, creating an atmosphere of sheer wonder. The flight follows a thrilling path, navigating through deep valleys, soaring above lush green hills, and offering breathtaking glimpses of snow-capped summits. The aerial perspective showcases the rugged terrain and the winding trails that adventurous trekkers will soon embark upon. The final approach to Lukla is a testament to the skill and expertise of the pilots, as they skillfully maneuver the aircraft onto the legendary short runway, nestled amidst the stunning mountain landscape. This remarkable flight is a gateway to an unforgettable adventure, setting the stage for a remarkable journey to the Everest region.
