OVERVIEW

Mardi Himal (5,587m/18,330ft) located less than 10km as the crow flies, north of Pokhara in Annapurna Himalaya range, southwest side of famous Mt. Machhapuchhere (6,993m/ 22,942ft). Even this trekking trail was opened only in 2012 A.D. by the government of Nepal, the Mardi Himal peak was climbed in 1961A.D. Mr. Jimmi Roberts with two Nepal Sherpa assistants summited first time via the southeast route. It was totally isolated before 2012 even though it is very near just requiring 10 days’ time from Pokhara to be on the top of Mardi Himal peak. Mardi Himal peak climbing gaining immense popularity because of it lavishes a time to experience peak climb and its open gorgeous natural beauty and local culture exhibition. In the beginning, limited foreigners were visited as expedition team using a full board with tents and catering team however these days’ limited teahouses and mountain lodge operating by local people with very simple facilities as a couple of decades before in other Annapurna’s trekking path. The total caravan length is approximately just 30km from Pokhara to obtain an outstanding spectacular view of the Himalayas from the top of the peak along with dense wooded rhododendron and bamboo on the way to base camp. Itinerary of Mardi Himal Peak Climb (5,587m/18,330FT)

Our Company representative will be standing in front of arrival gate to meets you at Tribhuban International Airport, Kathmandu holding a board of our company SNOWPAL TREK AND EXPEDITION Pvt. Ltd. along with your Name and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Hotel on BB Basis

After Breakfast first we check all the trekking equipments and if missing some of trekking gear, we can buy during the sightseeing. Full day sightseeing proceeds to the prominent UNESCO world heritage site to SyambhunathStupa the Buddhist sanctuary said to be nearly 2000 years old. The hill itself is pleasant place overlooking the entire valley of Kathmandu. The all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha painted in prominent blue atop the dome are visible from long distance from around the Kathmandu city. Then proceed to patan durbar squar also call Lalitpur the city full of fine arts. It cover the dozen of temples like Krishna Mandir, Kumbeswor temple, Golden temle. Next site proceed to Pashupatinath Temple the holiest Hindu Temple situated on the bank of sacred holy river Bagmati. Sightseeing continues to the BoudhanathStupa the biggest Stupa around inhabited by Tibetan Refugee since 1959AD. The day ends at Kathmandu Durbar Squar where can visti the Living GoddesKumari who appear on the balcony of her temple to greet her devotees, Kastamandap temple (Though now it is under reconstruction process after collapsed in earthquake in 25 April 2014), the temple made out of single tree and named Kathmandu as it was known as Kantipur in earlier times. Kathmandu Durbar Squar cover dozen of temple concluding Kumari temple, Hanuman Dhoka, Maizudewal, Taleju temple, Nautale Durbar, KaalBhairav, freak street and many more.

We request you to have an early breakfast and be ready exactly at 06:15 in your hotel loby, guide will pick up you and transfer to the tourist bus station and drive (approximately 3 hours with breaks) to the Rafting starting point. Through the beautiful river view and Nepalese countrysideRafting will be in Trusali river for 3 hour including 45 minutes hot lunch in river bank, Pick up by private vehicle from Rafting ending point takes approximately 3 more hour drive to reach Pokhara lakeside one of the most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world.

After breakfast we almost drive an hour from Pokhara to Kande with spectacular view Pokhara valley and snow caped mid-western Himalaya of Nepal. Trek start from Kande to Australian Camp located on the top of the green hill. This is also a view point place to see incredible scenic view of white mountain. We continue walk through tranquil forest to a small village Pothana for the night.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

First day is as rehearsal of the trek. Today, we start after breakfast about 7:30 AM through the dense rhododendron forest. Rhododendron is also national flower of Nepal. The trail is very quiet as it is a real nature walk with fresh air. Forest Camp locally called Kokar where we stay for the night.

We start the path going up to the steep hillside to low camp with amazing views of landscape. After lunch at low camp, continue walk through rhododendron dense forest and charming view of Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhre). On the way, we may encounter of Danphe (the national bird of Nepal) if the fortune came on our side. Overnight: In a Guest house at High Camp (3,500m/11,4826ft)

After breakfast we proceed to upper view point through Yak pastures land and hike a narrow ridge trail. Amazing views of the Himalayan vista from upper view point is amazing and awesome. Including Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna south (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Tarke Fang (7,647m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Singhuchuli (6,501m), BarahaShikhar and many others mountain are the main attractive views. After few hours walk, we reach Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m) from where we can view of the Annapurna Sanctuary down to the north.

Today we start the day more early than other normal day as it is very special day to summit Mardi Himal peak. Even the elevation not so height just (5,587m/18,330ft) comparatively among hundreds of Nepal Himalaya however this climb is technically difficult as experienced compared. No sooner started from base camp, ascend steeply towards the col between the connecting the ridge of Machhepuchhere and the east face of Mardi Himal. As soon reach at the high camp at the elevation of 4,650m, appear snow couloir leading to the cool with approximately 45 degrees steep section. The snow slopes steep col lead to the summit of Mardi Himal ((5,587m/18,330ft)). The Grade alpine F hard climb gained you to stand up the summit. The majestic panoramic view from summit earned the Splendid view of Annapurna Himalayan range includes a surreal view of Mt. sometime because of favorable weather and health conditions will not allow achieving our goal. So this is the day especially considered as contingency so that being able to climb the summit on the targeted day can be compensated. This day will not be considered if no any barriers arise.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We retrace up to low camp then we take right trail to Sidhing village. Amazing walk down path through rhododendron forest and alpine trees, leads us to warmer place to Sidhing village where we spend the night.

Overnight: In a Guest house at Siding village (1,700m/5,577ft)

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today is the final day of this trek. Walk just two hour and drive back to Pokhara by Jeep and Leisure day in Pokhara.

Explore the second largest city of Nepal dominated by the peaks of Annapurna range. Pokhara(8, 27m/2,713ft), is only fifty kilometers south from Annapurna (8,091 meters) clearly seen from the valley. The prominent peaks from east to west are Annapurna South (7,219m), VarahaShikhar (7,647m.) Annapurna I (8,091m.), Khangsar Kang (7,485 m), Tarke Kang (7, 193m) Gangapurna (7,455), Annapurna III (7,555m), Machhapuchhre (6,997m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna II (7,937m) and LamjungHimal (6,983m). In addition to these Dhaulagiri I (8,167m) can be seen to the north- west and Manaslu andLamjungHimal to the north –east.

Main Sightseeing spot in Pokhara.

Drive to world peace pogada and on the way back travel to David’s fall and see the Hindu shrine atGupteshowMahadiv Cave. Go to SetiGandaki Gorge, Old bazaar, Mahendra cave and in the evening boating in the Phewa Lake than visit to a temple dedicated to Varahi on a small island, where devotees go for their worship. Explore the Mountain Museum. Get the spectacular views of the Himalaya. Overnight in a PokharaHotel on BB Basis

Either drive back 200km the same way or take a 30-minute flight to return back to Kathmandu. Different air company operating several flights to Kathmandu daily. Passenger May carry 25kg as normal luggage and a carry-on bag of 5kg hand carry. A small bag or laptop bag is considered a hand carry bag but should not exceed 5kg. Excess baggage will be charged at the rate of Rs 75 per kg. All Passenger are required to present their passport (for foreigners) and citizenship or driving license (for Nepali citizens) at the check-in counter. Most plane have a seating capacity of 29/30 person and is equipped with toilet facilities. Passengers are required to arrive at the airport at least an hour before of departure time. Because of unavoidable circumstance/situations, flight can be delays/cancelled which airline will inform via e-mail or call and we inform our guest but last-minute delays due to weather conditions will be known only at the airport. If the passengers cancel the flight, there will be a charge of 10% for cancellations made 7 day prior to departure date on normal and residential fare. If the cancellation made on the same day at least 6 hours before of departure time are subject to a 50% charge while a no snow merits No Refund.
