After an early breakfast, leave Kathmandu and drive north along the scenic
Trishuli Highway toward the Nepal–China border. Pass beautiful villages,
terraced fields, waterfalls, and green hills before reaching the border.
After completing immigration and customs formalities, enter Tibet and
continue to Kyirong. Check in to your hotel and rest well.
This is your first night on the Tibetan Plateau, so avoid heavy physical
activity and drink plenty of water.

pilgrimage. Begin your trek before sunrise and gradually ascend toward
the sacred Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the entire Kora at
5,630 meters (18,471 feet). Along the climb, witness
thousands of colorful prayer flags fluttering in the mountain wind,
symbolizing prayers and blessings from pilgrims around the world.

After offering your prayers at the pass, carefully descend the steep
trail where the holy Gauri Kund can be seen shimmering
below. Continue through rocky valleys and glacial terrain before reaching
the trek’s endpoint. Depending on local logistics, transfer by vehicle
back to Darchen for a well-deserved rest. Completing your first Kailash
Kora is considered a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual accomplishment and a
deeply meaningful moment for every pilgrim.
