After breakfast, first we collect the Upper Mustang Special Permits and spend the day exploring the cultural and historical treasures of Kathmandu. First Phase of Drive as soon exit from Kathmandu, down to Naubese then continue to Mugling bazar on side of Trisuli river which is most famous for white river Rafting. Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes as you travel along winding roads and lush valleys. Relish a delicious dinner and rest for the night at a teahouse in Tatopani.
Tatopani to Kagbeni (230km and Kagbeni to Muktinath 12.5km)
Following breakfast, embark on an exhilarating drive from Tatopani to Kagbeni, a picturesque village in the Mustang region. En side route, We visit the sacred Muktinath pilgrimage site, where the Hindu and Buddhist devotees from around the world come to offer prayers. Savor a hearty dinner and stay overnight at a teahouse in Kagbeni.
After breakfast, continue your jeep tour through the rugged terrain of Mustang, heading from Kagbeni to Ghami village. After breakfast, enjoy the day of off-road driving as you head from Ghami village to Lo-Mangthang, the ancient capital of Mustang. Navigate through rugged mountain passes and scenic valleys, taking in the natural beauty of the Himalayas. After arriving in the ancient capital of Mustang Kingdom, we check into the local teahouse and explore the village with a guided tour. Afterward, settle in for a hearty dinner and an overnight stay at a teahouse in Lo-Mangthang.
Spend the day discovering the cultural treasures of Lo-Manthang and Chhosar Cave. Visit ancient monasteries and temples steeped in history, and explore the narrow streets and traditional architecture of Lo-Manthang. At Chhosar we can visit the newly discovered handmade caves, which to this day are still not solved, as to why and how they are made. In the evening after a delicious dinner, spend the night at same teahouse in Lo-Mangthang.
After breakfast, we depart from Lo-Mangthang and begin our jeep tour back to Marpha. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the rugged terrain and mountain passes as you leave the mystical kingdom of Lo-Mangthang behind. Once at Marpha we savor a delicious dinner and stay overnight at a teahouse.The village is well-known for its local apple produce and we do recommend trying one of the staple dishes or drinks made from the fresh apples.
After breakfast, set off on the final leg of your jeep tour as you drive from Marpha back to Pokhara. Watch as the landscapes change from the high Himalayas to the lush valleys below. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a brief rest. In the evening we recommend exploring around lakeside. At night Pokhara’s lights lit up the city and the Shore of Phewa Lake creating a magical and unforgettable scenery! Enjoy a peaceful night at your hotel in Pokhara.
After breakfast at your hotel we’ll drive with our jeep back to Kathmandu. Along the way we make use of our private jeep and make a stop at a historical hillside village called Bandipur. Famous for its local architecture and valley views this makes an excellent place for a break and lunch in a Historical town. It will be late afternoon once we reach back at Kathmandu.
Enjoy a great morning and have breakfast at your hotel. Today we go sightseeing at the old palace squares of Bhaktapur. Located next to Kathmandu it’s a short drive there. At Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square you get to see the ancient temples and palaces in large open courtyards connected with cobbling alleys. After enjoying this tour, Snowpal Treks and Expedition can organize other activities as well such as a scenic mountain flight along Mt Everest close view.
