After an early morning flight from Kathmandu, you will land at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. You will start your trek to Phakding, which is a 3-4 hour hike through beautiful forests and small Sherpa villages. You will spend the night in a teahouse in Phakding.
After breakfast, you will continue your trek to Namche Bazaar, which is a 6-7 hour hike. The trail takes you along the Dudh Kosi River and through the beautiful Sagarmatha National Park. Namche Bazaar is a bustling Sherpa town with plenty of teahouses and shops, and you will spend the night here.
Acclimatization is crucial for trekkers as they gain altitude. You will spend a day in Namche Bazaar to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude. You can explore the town, visit the local museum, or take a short hike to the nearby villages.
After breakfast, you will continue your trek to Tengboche, which takes around 5-6 hours. The trail takes you through beautiful rhododendron forests and offers spectacular views of Mount Everest and other peaks. Tengboche is home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, and you will spend the night here.
After breakfast, you will continue your trek to Dingboche, which takes around 5-6 hours. The trail takes you through scenic landscapes and offers stunning views of the mountains. You will spend the night in a teahouse in Dingboche.
Another acclimatization day is necessary as you gain more altitude. You can explore the village and its surroundings or take a short hike to nearby viewpoints for stunning mountain views.
After breakfast, you will continue your trek to Lobuche, which takes around 5-6 hours. The trail takes you along the Khumbu Glacier and offers magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. You will spend the night in a teahouse in Lobuche.
After breakfast, you will trek to Gorak Shep, which takes around 3-4 hours. Gorak Shep is the last settlement before the base camp. After lunch, you will hike to Everest Base Camp, which takes around 2-3 hours. You will spend some time at the base camp, take pictures, and return to Gorak Shep for the night.
You will wake up early to hike to Kalapatthar, which is a famous viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. After spending some time at the top, you will return to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then continue your descent to Pheriche, which takes around 5-6 hours.
After breakfast, you will continue your descent to Namche Bazaar, which takes around 6-7 hours. You will spend the night in Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, you will continue your descent to Lukla, which takes around 6-7 hours. You will spend the night in Lukla and enjoy a celebratory dinner with your trekking group.
You will take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, where you will have the rest of the day to explore the city, do some shopping, or relax.
You will depart from Kathmandu and head back home with unforgettable memories of your trek to Sagarmatha National Park.
