Experience the wilderness of Shivapuri National Park on this day-long hiking adventure. The trail takes you through lush jungles where you can spot wildlife and birds. The hike to the top of Shivapuri is steep but offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. After spending some time at the top, we’ll make our way downhill to Panimuhan Budhanilkantha, the starting and ending point of the hike. From there, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu. This is a great opportunity for birding enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Shivapuri is a hill located in the northern part of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. It is a popular hiking and trekking destination due to its proximity to the city and the stunning views it offers of the surrounding mountains and valley.
Shivapuri is also home to the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, which covers an area of 159 square kilometers and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including deer, monkeys, leopards, and over 300 species of birds. The park also features several hiking trails, as well as Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples.
One of the main attractions of Shivapuri is the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, which provides drinking water to the Kathmandu Valley and is home to several endangered species, such as the red panda and the clouded leopard.
Shivapuri is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, who come to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, go on treks and hikes, and explore the cultural and historical significance of the various temples and monasteries in the region.
7:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu
8:00 AM: Arrive at the entrance of Shivapuri National Park and start the hike
1:00 PM: Reach the summit of Shivapuri and enjoy the panoramic view of the Himalayas
2:00 PM: Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way down
5:00 PM: Reach Panimuhan Budhanilkantha, where the hike ends, and drive back to Kathmandu
6:00 PM: Drop off at your hotel
